Description
The optimal starting point for this walk is at the train station Böhlerwerk. After the railway underpass, the path branches off left in direction of the Sonntagberg, starting from (table 04A). Past the farms "Kahlenberg" and "Kaiserhof", then through the forest, the trail reaches the Basilica on the Sonntagberg. The Baroque pilgrimage church was built between 1705 and 1718 according to the plans of Jakob Prandtauer and completed in 1732 by Josef Munggenast. Past the cemetery the trail continues along the street with a turn to the House Sandlehen and on a beautiful road and Meadow Trail one reaches the "Mostviertler scenic road". On this road, one continues to St. Leonhard / Walde.
