Falkenstein and Falkenstein Wall Frankenfels

Mountain summit, Scenic lookout

Description

The proud Falkenstein near Frankenfels rises 720 meters into the air: Thanks to its exciting rock faces on the northwest side, the popular vantage point is a well-known paradise for climbers. But hikers and MTB fans also get their money's worth here.

The three-part, varied Falkenstein wall reaches heights of up to 80 meters. Due to its size, the challenging wall of gray limestone is considered the landmark of Frankenfels - and attracts climbers of all levels with its climbing gardens and adventurous rock formations. In addition, the Falkenstein offers numerous beautiful hiking routes.

At the summit plateau, a summit cross welcomes its guests, whose ascent is rewarded by a magnificent view over the Natterstal valley. Unique excursion destinations and cordial inns and lodgings - such as the particularly family-friendly Sunnseit'n Biohof - distinguish the entire region.
