Göller
Mountain summit
Description
The Göller is a 1,766 meter high mountain of the Mürzsteg Alps in Lower Austria. Its peak belongs to the territory of the Lower Austrian market town of St. Aegyd am Neuwalde, which is considered the most densely wooded community in Austria. In this hiking area extends one of the last primeval forests of the country.

Hiking trails and huts
The Zdarsky- or Göllerhütte are available for stops, here the hikers are spoiled with home cooking, cider and wine. Overnight stays are possible in the Göllerhütte, Hofalmhütte or at the Gippel. (Please inquire in advance about the operating hours).
Ascents:
- The most frequented ascent to the Göller begins at Kernhofer Gscheid and leads past the Gsenger from the north to the extensive summit plateau. Walking time about 2½ hours.
- From Donaudörfl east of the Lahnsattel on a forest road to the Waldhüttsattel, continue via the managed Göllerhütte of the Friends of Nature 1,440 and past the Kleiner Göller from the east to the summit. Walking time about 3 hours.
- From Kernhof on steep path to Waldhüttsattel, continue as described above. Walking time about 3½ hours.
- One way is also the crossing Göller - Waldhüttsattel - Gippel. Experienced climbers can climb both peaks in one day.

- Excursion highlights for the whole family await in Kernhof at the White Zoo and Camel Theater - with many exotic animals, multimedia shows and exciting guided tours.
- Friends of Nordic sports will find 100 km of prepared cross-country ski trails in the alpine Mostviertel. The Nordic Center St. Aegyd am Neuwalde is the largest and most versatile cross-country skiing area in the Mostviertel.
- The local history museum St. Aegyd am Neuwalde shows the history of the village since the beginning of the 12th century.
