Lackenhof am Ötscher ski area
Ski area / lift
Description
Traditional ski resort
Hardly any place in the Mostviertel is so addicted to skiing as Lackenhof am Ötscher. Nine lifts take skiers from the Ötscher village to the Kleine and Grosse Ötscher, a total of 19 kilometres of pistes are available for relaxed skiing pleasure. While families with small children particularly appreciate the easy family descent from the small Ötscher to Lackenhof, sporty skiers can be found above all on the wide Riffel descent and the black descent from the large and the small Ötscher.
Sporty and multi-faceted
Lackenhof is again and again the venue of numerous ski races - the area is suitable for local championships as well as for FIS races. In January 2018 the Ötscherdorf hosted the FIS Snowboard World Cup. If there is enough snow, freeriders will also get their money's worth, especially at the big Ötscher. There are two signposted ski touring routes (to the Ötscher shelter and on the Kleine Ötscher) for all ascent and endurance athletes.
