Ybbsitz - the centre of forging! Actually, forging in Ybbsitz, one of the beautiful places on the Iron Road, has never stopped. At least not for the last 800 years. Through the increased revival of the old tradition of forging one hears today as then the hammering and grinding, both in modern factories and in old hammer mills.

Guests come to the venerable tradition of forging in the FeRRum - the world of iron closest. But apart from iron and old stories from the Hammerherrenzeit one finds a multiplicity of other possibilities to recover, to operate or to be spoiled. Especially many people flock to Ybbsitz every year during the "Flammenden Schmiedeweihnacht" (Christmas Market).
